Demi Moore: What Drug Did She Smoke Before 911 Call?

What was Demi smoking?

Released online Friday, the disturbing audiotape of the 911 call placed by frantic friends of Demi Moore reveal that the 49-year-old star collapsed in her L.A. home Monday after smoking a mysterious substance.

"It's not marijuana," the unidentified female caller told the dispatcher. "It's similar to incense." The drug left the newly single actress and mom with "convulsions," unable to speak and "burning up," her friend reported.

So just what was the incense-like drug that provoked Moore's frightening emergency?

One potential guess could be synthetic cannabis. Known as "K2," "Spice" or "herbal incense," it's a blend of herbs, spices and a synthetic compound similar to THC, the psychoactive ingredients in marijuana.

"It's a relaxed high," Dr. John Sharp, MD, faculty member of Harvard Medical School explained to Us Weekly Friday. "People who aren't used to it can feel uncomfortable and self-conscious. Others feel relaxed physically," added Dr. Sharp, a psychiatrist who has worked in celebrity rehab centers.

"It's similar to weed," he added of the increasingly popular, inexpensive drug. "The mistake, though, is to think that it's necessarily safer. It also doesn't show up in toxicology screenings."

"The issue with this is there is no control of the purity of the chemical that has been sprayed on the weed that they are going to smoke," noted Dr. David Sack, M.D. CEO of Promises of Malibu, an addiction treatment center.

'Miami Thong Lift' doctor says business is booming

MIAMI, Fla. (NBC) -- On busy South Dixie Highway near Coconut Grove, Florida it's hard to miss the signs for the Miami Thong Lift.

Jenny Fitz came from Bolivia to have it done last year.

"I love it. Tremendous change.Yeah because I had that square look," Fitz said.

She joked that she used to look like SpongeBob Squarepants.

Plastic surgeon Constantino Mendieta says he invented the Miami Thong Lift around ten years ago.

"It's just now entering into vogue. As a matter of fact, I'm going to Paris to lecture this week. I've been invited to Turkey, and we're going to Belgium," said Mendieta.

Botox - or Bro-tox - increasingly popular gift for men.

What to get the man in your life is an ongoing dilemma. The go-to gifts have been gadgets, sports tickets, car equipment and the like.

But a hot item this year is Botox.

"Every time I would raise my eyebrows I would get creases all along my forehead," 29-year-old actor Johnny Markoudakis told "Good Morning America."

Orange County, Calif., plastic surgeon Dr. Tenley Lawton injected Botox into the actor's forehead and around his eyes. Just a week later, Markoudakis says people told him he looked more refreshed and less stressed.

"So, thank you, to my best friend for my Christmas gift. It was awesome," said Markoudakis.

"I got Botox for Christmas this year to see Dr. [Constantino] Mendieta in Miami," another man, Julio Mendez, told "GMA."

"My appointment is tomorrow and I'm really excited. I have these lines on my forehead," he said.

Promises  hired AHPR in September of 2008 .  Within a couple of weeks, AHPR delivered quality opportunities.  A month ago, a tabloid magazine wrote a story about  Promises that cast us in a very negative light.  AHPR responded immediately, and  had the story removed from the magazine’s website ,  as well as from all of the blogs that reported the story.  AHPR’s experience and hard work has  been a benefit to our organization in many ways. They have been a great PR partner.  I  would  recommend them to anyone who needs PR services and deals with the press .
