Rehab to the Stars: Popular Celebrity Rehab Centers

The need to go into rehab is not exactly exclusive to celebrities; however, since their trips to these facilities are turned into a hoopla by the media, it would seem that this is a “thing” that celebrities do. Twirlit.com shares the top rehab centers that celebrities retreat to when they need time to sort things out and pull themselves together.
A clinic that has catered to quite a number of clientele and can be considered as a pioneer in the industry is The Betty Ford clinic. It was established by former First Lady Betty Ford, who battled depression, prescription drug use and alcohol. The clinic has became a temporary haven for Keith Urban, Ozzy Osbourne, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chevy Chase, and Anna Nicole Smith. Despite its celebrity clientele, a stay in The Betty Ford clinic does not exactly entail celebrity-level expenses, priced at a relatively manageable rate of $6,000 for a 30-day stay.
In contrast, Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California costs more per week than what Betty Ford charges for a month-long stay. At almost $9,000 a week, one can enjoy the ocean side retreat where one can enjoy yoga and meditation and acupuncture on top of medical detox and counseling. Britney Spears and Robert Downey Jr. have availed of the services of this facility.
Also in Malibu is Passages, which, like Promises, provides “opulence as well as rehabilitation.” It was founded by real estate developer Chris Prentiss after his son battled heroin addiction. A 30-day stay at Passages will cost $39,500.
Other celebrity rehab centers include the Caron Foundation in Pennsylvania and Crossroads Centre in Antigua.
