Remaking Promises

Promises Treatment Centers became famous for its Hollywood clientele, including starlets Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. But when those stars suffered relapses, the sordid news was splashed over the tabloids and made Promises famous in an unwanted way.

Indeed, Promises got a reputation as a high-dollar Malibu getaway for wayward celebrities rather than as a serious drug and alcohol treatment center.

So when David Sack acquired the treatment program and its Malibu and West L.A. campuses in 2008, the psychiatrist had a big job: rehab the rehab centers.

Job 1 was to cut down those high-profile episodes of backsliding. “People do relapse,” Sack said. “And if I’m a celebrity and I relapse, it’s all over the tabloids. When treating celebrities, you are associated with their successes and failures.”

Sandra Bullock set for rehab showdown with Jesse James, says rehab doctor

Oscar winning actress Sandra Bullock is set to have a showdown with husband Jesse James in rehab over his alleged cheating.

Monster Garage star James has checked into the Sierra Tucson Treatment Centre in Arizona amid allegations he had affairs with at least five other women.

Devastated Bullock has been keeping a low profile and hiding out at her Hollywood Hills home since the scandal broke.

She hasn’t seen her heavily tattooed husband for nearly two weeks but now it has been revealed she WILL be asked to face him as he is treated for sex addiction.

James is in rehab for at least 45 days and during that time will undergo a psychiatric evaluation before beginning therapy.

Once he’s been there for two to three weeks, his team of doctors and coaches will ask Bullock to join him for therapy sessions.
