R7 Real Estate–A New Look Management Firm Launched

By John L. Seitz

Despite all the doom and gloom reflected in the overall economy these days, business still goes on and a new firm called R7 Real Estate has emerged on the scene last month with some very different approaches based upon the reality of the 2010 marketplace. R7 specializes in the third party management of commercial properties as well as commercial leasing and project/construction management, primarily in Beverly Hills and the Westside. Its aim is to protect the property owners’ assets in both good and bad times while at the same time helping these clients and their tenant weather the current economic challenges.

“We’re attempting to deliver a premium level of hospitality by creating partnerships with our clients, tenants and service providers,” stated Managing Director Stephanie Abel. “Our team’s entrepreneurial style caters to a cross section of realty owners from private investors—small and mid-level—to large institutions holding office, retail and industrial properties.”

The company’s services include accounting, consulting, cost containment, die diligence, financial analysis and reporting, lease renewals and operations. The name “R7” was inspired by two film epics: The Magnificent Seven and Seven Samurai. It also represents the number of partners in this boutique venture, which was the merger of a 10-year old business (C-Lease) with a group of other highly credentialed professionals, all with deep ties to the community.

Besides Abel, the management team includes Stan Yoshihara, chief visionary officer, and Karnis Wong, director (all formerly of CB Richard Ellis), plus Karinna Cassidy, president, and Ashley Arthur, chief operating officer (both from C-Lease), plus Arlene Camacho, controller, who has more than a quarter century in corporate accounting. “With collectively have more than 100 years of direct commercial real estate expertise among us, we picture ourselves as problem solvers, able to embrace any challenge quickly, efficiently and thoroughly.” explained Abel. “It gives us the opportunity to deviate from the way things have always been done in the past, and offer solutions specifically tailored to the needs of the client in this ever-changing environment. After all, we’ve all been there and done that.”
